Small Group Learning

Individuals with significant developmental disabilities who are 17 years of age or older and can benefit from services offered are eligible for the UCP Adult Program.

The activities offered through the UCP Adult Program are based on the unique interests and abilities of the participants and are designed toward specific goals:

  •  Maintaining and improving skills they already possess
  • Acquiring new skills, leading to greater independence in their personal lives
  • Maintaining and developing new relationships with peers and other community members
  • Staying physically active
  • Being connected and giving back to their community
  • Learning to advocate for themselves

Small Group activities include:

  • Computer Lab sessions
  • Life Skills, such as cooking, home organizing, and laundry
  • Physical activities for health, such as dancing and sports
  • Art and music for self-expression
  • Specialized craft instruction
  • Community service, including recycling and meal delivery
