Adult Program
LIFE SKILLS, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENTAND LASTING FRIENDSHIPS
From life skills such as cooking, sports and using technology, to community involvement that includes hands-on service projects, the UCP Adult Program provides adults with developmental disabilities opportunities to learn and reach
new goals.
Adult Program services are offered on-site at UCP’s St. Joseph location, Monday through Friday. Launched in 1980, the Adult Program is one of the UCP’s fastest growing areas and serves more than 65 consumers. Daily activities include
small-group learning sessions, community service projects, technology training, and practicing essential life skills with UCP’s qualified and enthusiastic staff.
A 1700-foot expansion to the Adult Program, completed in September 2010, is providing even more ways for consumers to learn new forms of physical exercise and enjoy new opportunities for learning. We welcome guests to come and see
first-hand how UCP’s Adult Program is helping people with disabilities to live more independent, goal-oriented lives.
